The Goods

And just like that, we’re back to school. I told you earlier in the week that I’m not ready for the kids to go back as I could have used a few more weeks of snuggling with them all throughout the day. But since I don’t make the school schedule, back to school they went. My son was pumped about starting 2nd grade and my little one has been asking to go back to preschool since we got out in June. As for me, I have no doubt that I’ll get used to a quiet house and I look forward to tackling a few projects I’ve had on my to do list. Also? Having a second cup of coffee or tea with no one asking for something- that will be nice too 🙂

Planet Box | The Goods

Is it weird that I love packing school lunches? I find it cathartic and I like knowing my kiddos are having a well rounded meal. It’s especially fun with this stainless steel PlanetBox. It’s ultra durable (even for two rowdy boys), it’s eco friendly AND double points for the functionality. Dishwasher safe and the compartments are just the right size. Definitely worth the price.

These are perfect for busy back-to-school mornings or putting in lunches.

Everyday is a good day for pancakes, right?

I know it’s only August but bring on the pumpkin.

The Honest Co | The Goods | mountainmamacooks.com

I got this housewarming gift from The Honest Co. from a dear friend and I’m loving it. Non-toxic cleaners that smell good! Gotta love a practical gift that comes in GREAT packaging. Thanks, Anna!!

The most touching #ALSIceBucketChallenge video yet.

Have you read this book series? It’s been on my list for years and everyone’s talking about it thanks to the new TV series. What say you?

In other book updates, I just read this sequel while on vacation last week and I’m SO hoping a movie will follow.

I also read this book last week based on a recommendation from a fan on Facebook. It was cute. A little slow but I liked it enough to want to read the next one.

Canning Raspberries | The Goods | mountainmamacooks.com

It’s so canning season in my house. I’m making my list of what I want to put up in the next few weeks. Tomatoes and jam for sure. And pickles and possibly some dilly green beans too. What is your favorite thing to preserve?

I stumbled upon a new-to-me active clothing line in CA last week. Somehow I came home with this and this. Seriously cute stuff.

I’ve been digging on tea lately. This one tastes like a big ‘ol mug of root beer. Yes, root beer. Add a splash of half-and-half and it’s almost like a root beer float. Almost.

Chubby Girl | The Goods | mountainmamacooks.com

And this face? Gah, I could eat her. She’s such a good girl (expect when she’s not) and I love her guts. #weeklychubbs

Have a great rest of the week, everyone! xo
